What We Believe

We are part of the Christian Missionary Alliance, a denominational movement animated to spread the good news of God’s saving work in Christ to the whole world. “All of Jesus for all the world.” Our denomination is often described as a “big tent” for lots to get under. We know choosing a new church family is an important task. Many factors are involved, and the most critical is—“What do they believe and teach about God?” Here are the coordinates that can help you place us on the “evangelical map” to see if we live in the same belief neighborhood.

1 | The Scriptures

2 | The Triune God

We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. They are the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21, Hebrews 6:18, John 10:35

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power and glory — who created all, upholds all, and governs all.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19, John 1:1–5, John 10:30, Genesis 1:26, 2 Corinthians 13:14

3 |  God the Father

We believe God the Father is the sovereign ruler of all, the source of all that is good, and the One who sent His Son for our salvation.
1 Corinthians 8:6, John 3:16, Ephesians 4:6

4 |  Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future personal return in glory.
John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

5 |  The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates sinners, and indwells believers for sanctification and empowerment for service.
John 16:8–11; Romans 8:9–17, John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 6:19

6 |  Humanity

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience. As a result, all people are born under the curse of sin and in need of salvation.
Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 5:12

7 |  Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is entirely the work of God’s sovereign grace and cannot be earned by human effort.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5

8 |  The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers, and is called to make disciples of all nations, administer the sacraments, and live as a community of faith, hope, and love.
Ephesians 4:4–6; Matthew 28:18–20

9 |  Manhood and Womanhood in
Church Leadership

We believe that men and women are created equal in dignity, value, and worth, yet are distinct in their God-given roles. In accordance with Scripture, Fellowship Alliance Chapel does not ordain women as pastors or elders. We affirm the distinction of masculine and feminine roles ordained by God as part of the created order in understanding the role of leadership in the home and in the church.
Genesis 2:18–24; 1 Timothy 2:11–15; 1 Corinthians 11:3

10 |  The Return of Christ and
the Final Judgment

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom. We believe in the heavenly body resurrection of all believers, the eternal blessedness of believers, and the eternal punishment of the unbelieving.
Acts 1:11; Revelation 20:11–15; Philippians 3:20-21
