In this season at FAC, as we await the appointment of a new Senior Pastor, we take heart knowing that we worship and serve a sovereign God. He already knows the outcome, but in His merciful love, he draws us close through faithfulness. This process of waiting on God’s timing is not always easy due to the feelings we associate with uncertainty, combined with the reflexive nature of our flesh. Thankfully, as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7, God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. As the Pastor Search Team continues on this journey, we are incorporating prayer and fasting to help fix our eyes above and strengthen our relationship with Him so we may be used for His glory. We are inviting the congregation to join us in prayer and fasting as you are led. Below, you will find details on our prayer and fasting schedule as well as updates on our search process.

INVITATION TO PRAYER:

• We are inviting the congregation to come along with us in prayer: Almighty God, we look to You because You are the One who we depend on to give us help when we need it. Our church is coming before You with hearts and minds ready to hear from You regarding the pastor You have prepared to lead us into the future. May You continue to keep our search team strong and united in Christ as You guide them in their decision-making. We thank You that the future of our church is in Your hands. Amen

• Join us in prayer and fasting for the following dates: May 10–11 and May 17–18

• The Pastoral Search Ministry Team continues serving under the charter and direction of the Elder Board.
• The team has received a strong number of applications for the Senior Pastor role and is encouraged by the interest.
• The congregation is invited to prayerfully share the Pastor Profile with anyone the Lord places on your heart to invite to apply.
• Applications are being reviewed prayerfully in the order received. Prior to any interviews, the candidate must be vetted through the CM&A.
• The team’s role is to prayerfully discern and recommend candidates for the elders’ consideration; the final hiring decision rests with the Elder Board.
• Updates will continue to be shared monthly, with periodic communication during Sunday services.
